PUBLIC SAFETY CHAPLAIN SERVICES
Ministry:
A public safety chaplain provides a ministry of presence and is present during times of pain and rejoicing.
Service:
A public safety chaplain is a servant. The position is not one of glory or prestige, but one of care and concern for the needs of those served.
Support:
A public safety chaplain provides strength when one feels weak and needs encouragement.
Guidance:
A public chaplain provides the direction offered by God when others cannot find their way.
EMBLEM
Our shield has three lines through the middle representing the community, law enforcement, and the chaplaincy. Together we are compassionate, strong, and willing to serve. Together we can impact our surroundings for good. Together we make a difference. The shield is a universal symbol of law enforcement.
MISSION
It is our mission, while in contact with the community, to care for the troubled and those who have endured loss, been victimized by the events and tragedy that have left them abandoned, helpless and without hope.
SERVICE TO
Sioux Empire Public Safety Chaplains administer support, guidance, counseling, consultation, and other forms of human crisis intervention to to public safety personnel, their families, and traumatized individuals of the community when needed or upon request.
